Progress Documentation

CLIENT:       Town of Hillsboro

LOCATION:  Loudoun County, VA

OVERVIEW

Located along a one-mile stretch of Route 9/Charles Town Pike in Hillsboro, Va features a completely new facelift that at its core provides improved infrastructure for the Town as well as traffic calming and pedestrian safety benefits for the community.

Monitoring progress and capturing the changes for documentation was critical. Town managers used the aerial data to share with stakeholders such as NVTA and VDOT as well as the construction project managers Volkert and Archer Western.

USE CASE

A variety of data was captured to meet the requirements of the project and its communication needs. Before and after to document the enormous change in the roadway, traffic patterns, traffic calming, and the improvements to pedestrian safety.  20' and 75' NADIR view perspectives were also taken at the Before/After stages as well as orbital images and video throughout the process. Orthomosaic maps were also part of the routine progress monitoring. All this data has been used to communicate throughout the project and will live in the Town's historical data documentation files for future generations.
